In Ukraine, six regions fall into the “gray” zone (according to the EU classification) due to the low level of evidence for the coronavirus.

Chief Medical Officer Viktor Lyashko announced this on his Facebook page. We are talking about the Chernigov, Kirovograd, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Lviv and Odessa regions. It also released data for all regions of the country. (scroll to the bottom to see them).

“We have regions that, according to the EU classification, fall into the ‘gray’ zone due to the low level of evidence. In particular, these are the regions of Odessa, Chernigov, Zhitomir, Kirovograd, Poltava and Lvov,” he wrote.

At the same time, the best results not only in tests, but also in other indicators, in the Vinnitsa region.

Overall, Lyashko noted that now the capacity of laboratories in hospitals is more than 16,000 PCR tests per day. More than 60 thousand studies are capable of carrying out the laboratory centers of the Ministry of Health.

“The COVID-19 response system in Ukraine is now at a qualitatively new level compared to 2020,” emphasized the country’s medical director.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Ukraine intends to conduct a screening study to determine the coronavirus antigen in several patients, in particular, people with suspected COVID-19, with symptoms of severe acute respiratory syndrome, other acute respiratory viral infections or with signs of pneumonia.
