SBU opened criminal proceedings
The actions of the OTG deputies fall under the articles on the usurpation of territorial integrity and the inviolability of Ukraine, on treason and falsification of documents, said the SBU.
The Security Service of Ukraine initiated proceedings under three articles of the Penal Code regarding the performance of the Hungarian anthem by newly elected deputies of the Syurtovskaya Rural United Territorial Community of the Transcarpathian Region after taking the oath.

“The circumstances of the actions of the deputies of the rural united territorial community of Syurt in the Transcarpathian region are investigated in criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 110 (violation of territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine), part 1 of article 111 (treason) and part 3 of article 358 (falsification of documents) “, – indicated in the message.
At the same time, the details of the case were not released as they relate to the secrecy of the pre-trial investigation.
As reported, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba explained that since Hungary is a neighboring country, a member of NATO and a member of the European Union, there is no need to fight him. But Hungary must respect Ukraine’s legislation and national interests, he stressed.
