The chief doctor of the Ivano-Frankivsk ambulance station, Igor Kovalyuk, was hospitalized with COVID-19 in serious condition, the city’s mayor Roman Martsinkiv said on May 4, today he announced the death of a doctor.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, the chief physician of the Igor Kovalyuk ambulance station died today, who was hospitalized with COVID-19 six days ago. This was announced on his Facebook page by the Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk Ruslan Martsinkiv.

“It is impossible to prepare for death. Everyone faces the loss of loved ones, relatives, many are familiar with the pain of loss. Today, the chief physician of the Ivano-Frankivsk ambulance station Igor Kovalyuk,” he wrote.



The head of the union at the ambulance station Bogdan Vennik said Kovalyuk was 57 years old. He added that the doctor died after a serious illness.



On May 4, Marcinkiv announced six hospitalized per day in Ivano-Frankivsk, including the head of the city’s ambulance station. His condition was evaluated as serious.
