Cabinet expects first million COVAX coronavirus vaccines in March
The Cabinet of Ministers hopes that it will soon be able to receive one million doses of coronavirus vaccine under the COVAX program.
Ukraine should receive the first million doses of COVID vaccine under the COVAX program in March 2021. This was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal at the online conference of the publication NV Ukraine and the World in 2021 on Thursday 17 December.
Shmyhal added that the start of vaccination is expected in February.
“We practically understand when this process should start. Obviously, this is February. And in March, according to the contract, we must receive the first million doses through the COVAX mechanism,” said the prime minister.
Earlier, Zelensky said that the COVID vaccine should be received in January. Ukraine is not yet included in the list of 92 countries that will receive the vaccine as a priority, the head of state admitted.
