Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said that in the last 10 years Ukraine has lost a trillion dollars of GDP. The reason for this was the unrealized potential.

Shmygal said this during a speech at the presentation of the country’s economic audit and development vectors until 2030.

“One trillion dollars of GDP in 10 years is the unrealized potential of our country. All citizens of Ukraine lost one trillion dollars due to constant changes in vectors, inconclusive reforms, the absence of a long-term economic strategy, corruption and bad governance “- Shmyhal.

We will recall, earlier in the “Macroeconomic and Monetary Review” of the National Bank it was reported that the decline in the basic sectors of the Ukrainian economy accelerated four times.

RBC-Ukraine also wrote that the decline of the Ukrainian economy in 2021 will accelerate dramatically if there is a prolonged lockdown by the end of the year.

Furthermore, it was reported that in 2021-2022 Ukraine’s economy will grow by about 4%.

Before that, the European Commission predicted a drop in the global economy this year to 3.8%.
