Denis Shmygal will hold meetings on the coronavirus situation three times a week
The head of government gave a series of instructions, in particular, to study the possibility of using departmental hospitals to increase beds.
Prime Minister Denis Shmygal convened a meeting with the heads of regional state administrations, ministers and secretaries of the NSDC on Friday, October 9, on the situation with the spread of the coronavirus, the government press service reported.
After the meeting, Shmygal instructed the Ministry of Health to resolve the issue of the possible involvement of departmental hospitals and institutions of the National Academy of Sciences to increase the number of beds.
He also instructed the heads of Kiev city and regional state administrations to mobilize all services and establish effective communication and coordination of work with the Ministry of the Interior and the State Consumer Service, in particular, on the holding of Massive events.
The health departments of the regional and state administrations of the city of Kiev were instructed to develop routes to expedite the transport of patients with COVID-19.
In addition, Shmygal instructed the chief medical officer, Viktor Lyashko, and the heads of the regional state administration to put the work of the hotlines under personal control. He specified that contact centers will be developed on its basis, in particular, with the aim of rapidly deploying a contact person detection system.
According to the prime minister, these meetings will be held on a regular basis three times a week.
It was previously reported that Kiev is asking the Cabinet of Ministers for help in the fight against COVID-19. In the capital, there are 2,5 thousand beds available in 20 hospitals, while more than 70% of them are already occupied, and the number of people in need of hospitalization continues to grow.
Recall that in Ukraine, 5.8 thousand cases of COVID-19 per day. The largest increase was recorded in the Kharkov region, Kiev and the Odessa region.
