Shmygal admits up to 20 thousand new COVID-19 cases per day

The incidence of the coronavirus in Ukraine will continue to grow rapidly, the Ukrainian medical system is preparing for this, the prime minister said.

By the end of the year, the daily increase of COVID-19 can reach 20 thousand. This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal on Thursday, November 5.

The government’s forecasts show a rapid increase in incidence by the end of the year, explained the prime minister.

“By the end of the month we can get 15 thousand (new cases – ed.) A day. It is no longer a secret, today’s figures can be counted … ordinary mathematics without other measures shows that we will have these figures. Until the end of year, this number can grow up to 20 thousand people a day, “added Shmygal.

At the same time, he stressed that the Ukrainian medical system is preparing for this.

Remember that there are almost 10,000 new cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine. The country registered another anti-record in the number of cases, and a record number of recovered was also registered.

It was also reported that 65% of COVID beds are occupied in Ukraine. Over a day, more than a thousand new beds for coronavirus patients have been introduced into the country. Now their number exceeds 43 thousand.
