Shmygal named the dollar exchange rate in the budget-2021

For next year, the government predicted a more optimistic situation than this year.

The Cabinet does not see any reason for a sharp change in the dollar rate until the end of 2021. The rate by the end of the year is expected to be at the level of 27-28 UAH per dollar. This was announced on Friday, September 4, by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal in an interview with Ukraine 24 television channel.

The head of government also hopes that next year, the dollar rate will also be good. He said that the 2021 budget will include the dollar exchange rate at the level of 29 UAH.

“There is already a macro forecast: there is GDP growth of 4.6-4.7%, about -6% of the budget deficit, the exchange rate is fixed at 29 hryvnia,” Shmyhal said, noting that this forecast is even more optimistic than the one we have this year.

The day before, the National Bank forecast the dollar rate until the end of the year. They noted that no significant fluctuations are expected in the foreign exchange market in the absence of shocks.
