Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denis Shmygal is in Turkey on a working visit. His plane landed at Istanbul airport, Ukrinform reported on Sunday, November 29.

The visit of the head of government will last two days, starting in Istanbul and tomorrow it will continue in the capital of Turkey, Ankara.

Today Shmygal will meet with Turkey’s Minister of Industry and Technology, Mustafa Varank, and representatives of Turkish companies. Tomorrow in Ankara, he will hold talks with the country’s leaders.

On the business trip, Shmygal is accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister for Strategic Industries Oleg Urusky, the Minister for Infrastructure Vladislav Krikliy, the First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Emine Dzhaparova and the Deputy Minister for Development, Economy, Trade and Agriculture Taras Kachka.

The Ukrainian delegation flew to Turkey on the An-148 aircraft, in which Turkey had previously shown interest under the project to create its own regional passenger aircraft.

We will recall, on October 16, that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, was visiting Turkey, where he held talks with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Also during the visit, Ukraine and Turkey signed a framework military agreement, a memorandum of intent in the field of defense industrial projects, and other documents.
