In Egypt, during a shark attack snorkeling holiday, a Ukrainian family, a 12-year-old boy in intensive care, was seriously injured.
This is reported by the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine.

According to the tour operator, the attack on tourists occurred during a dive in the Ras Mohammed reserve, where excursion yachts are prohibited from stopping. A mother and her 12-year-old son were bitten by a shark. The instructor who conducted the excursion was also injured.
The tour operator said that according to the information provided, the tourists bought the tour from third parties. (not from the tour operator or its partners) diving from excursion yachts.
According to information from open sources, as of November 1, 2019, such services are prohibited in the Sinai resorts in order to preserve the underwater ecosystem.
