The people’s deputy of the Servant of the People, Yevhenia Kravchuk, said that the Ukrainians in a few days will discover the name of the person who will finance the poll of Ukraine initiated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Ukraine poll, which was initiated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, can be financed by him personally. That statement on October 16 on the air of Radio Svoboda was made by the deputy head of the Servant of the People faction in Verkhovna Rada, Yevhenia Kravchuk.
She noted that 99% knows the name of the person who will fund the survey. According to her, in a few days in Ukraine the whole world will know. The money earmarked for the survey will be reflected in this person’s statement and will correspond to their income.
“In fact, there will not be much quantity, because printing 5 million black and white ballots in A5 format is not such a large quantity,” said the popular deputy.
According to her, the people who will carry out the survey will get paid, because “obviously they will be volunteers.”
On October 13, Zelenskiy said that on local election day on October 25, Ukrainians will be asked to answer “five important questions.” He did not specify what citizens would be asked about and how the survey would be conducted. The Central Electoral Commission reported that they are not preparing the survey. The president’s office stressed that the results of the survey will have no legal consequences.
Later it was learned that the survey will include the following questions:
- Is it necessary to introduce life imprisonment for corruption on an especially large scale?
- Do you support the creation of a free economic zone in Donbas?
- Do you support reducing the number of popular deputies to 300?
- Do you support the legalization of cannabis for medical purposes, to reduce pain in critically ill patients?
- Do you support Ukraine’s right to use the security guarantees defined by the Budapest Memorandum to restore its state sovereignty and territorial integrity?
On October 15, Kravchuk announced that a public organization and sociologists would participate in organizing a survey in Ukraine, and that sponsors of the arts would pay for it.
