In Ukraine, there is a second wave of COVID-19 coronavirus disease. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a joint press conference with Slovak President Zuzana Chaputova in Bratislava, Interfax-Ukraine reported on Thursday, September 24.
He recalled that now all over the world, and Ukraine is no exception, there is an exacerbation and the number of cases is growing.
“So today we don’t really have entry for foreign nationals. I think this is the right decision. We had that decision when we started the first wave, we were able to stop it. Then for 40 million Ukrainian citizens, we had 100 to 300 Today we have 3,000 cases a day. Unfortunately, this is the second wave in Ukraine, “Zelensky said.
He added that Ukraine can not risk its citizens or citizens of other countries to come.
“Later, when this situation stabilizes, the borders in Ukraine will be opened, of course,” the president said.
Remember that during the last 24 hours in Ukraine, there are almost 3.4 thousand new cases of COVID-19. At the same time, almost 1.8 thousand per day were recovered. The most active increase in new patients is in the Dnepropetrovsk, Ternopil and Kharkov regions, as well as in Kiev.
