Savik Schuster started again with measuring emotions. Judging by the opinion poll presented on the big screen in the study, young people expect something, and people in their 30s and 40s, “by the way, the president’s generation,” are more anxious: unemployment is already hitting.

After introducing the guests to the studio and being a little confused about who Olya Polyakova (the “singer” is, he added), he included two athletes via video link: Olympic fencing champion Olga Harlan and Ukraine’s first racket (tennis) Elina Svitolina.

– What emotions are you quarantined with? – asked the host.

In response, he heard, of course, hope. Schuster decided to dig deeper and released a “horror story” about the transfer or cancellation of the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Second, in principle, the quarantine cut 90% of their contracts, since there are no television broadcasts of sports competitions. And these are the sports “stars”. And athletes with lower status are forced to almost ask for money to eat.

Subsequently, it turned out that the spiritual person in Schuster that night was not just Vakarchuk. Ukrainian folk artist Vladimir Goryansky entered the role of a “spiritual person” so much so that, by answering a host’s question about emotion, he spoke of regret!

When an artist changes profession

Polyakova sees the union’s first job as a concretion of the quarantine exit plan for mass culture, which she did not see in the government’s 5-step plan:

Judging from the study’s reaction, few people read the government’s plan. But the indignant murmur, however, spread.

The people’s deputy (“Servant of the people” faction) Alexander Tkachenko, by video link, collected Polyakova’s suffering from income and published his bill on state support for the creative industry.

– This is the country’s 4 GDP, 1 million people alive, their income fell 75%. We are experiencing a situation that no one has ever experienced.

– Have you sat down (quarantined)? – He tried to smooth Goryansky. – Let’s fill up. Not everything, after all, that cinema, theater shows, are worthy.

– Why do we give all the money to the cinema? – Polyakova reacted. – A stadium concert collects more.

It was only at the end of the show that it was understood why Savik Schuster, on a very political day on May 1, at the end of a crowded week, brought together not politicians, but artists. I wanted to investigate the emotions, as it is about the emotions that world politics is doing today. He asked them about the feelings of the politicians from transfer to transfer. But a clear answer, of course, did not receive. Meanwhile, the mood of society is now very important. Especially those of us who don’t even realize it. And then he called the art people studio. Who, if not they, can capture the mood of society, almost on a subconscious level?

These moods are disappointing. Judging by the choices in the studio, creative personalities are on the edge. And not only for money, but also for the lack of a favorite job. Even trying to interpret the antithesis of a humble preacher, Goryansky could not stay in the comfortable niche of an independent Buddhist domestic worker. But Polyakova was convincing: glamorous manners did not prevent her from transmitting politically acute appeals.

And these appeals were somewhat successful, since, on the one hand, the authorities represented by Tkachenko spoke gently (à la Goryansky), but without the details that not only art people are hungry for today. On the other hand, those actors who are emphatically patriotic are, in principle, opposed to power, no matter what they say. The promises were received with a polite smile, but it cannot be said directly that “we do not believe.” The public relations bill did not spark enthusiasm, either.

Thus, Polyakova’s passionate speeches to unite and defend themselves worked: she managed to lightly recruit Topol and Seitablaev.

And it turns out that money is no longer the main thing, and in (creative) people, fear of the coronavirus has already given way to a growing mood of protest. Since “soul engineers” are also “tuning forks of society”, many in the country would make sense to think about what is happening. And think a lot.

After all, a good song with a feeling can light millions. And, yes, completely free.

Because, judging by the numerous phrases of the artists, the massive events will not start before September. And therefore the quarantine will steal the summer from Ukrainian citizens, with a high probability. And this information can be much more accurate than all the authorities’ promises and guidelines.
