The Brovarsky City District Court of the Kiev region arrested the Schema journalists suspected of setting the car on fire. Kirill Barikhashvili was detained for two months.
It is reported by “Hromadske”.
The prosecution asked the court to detain the suspect without bail, but the judge granted the request in part.
Barikhashvili was arrested with the possibility of posting bail. The amount of the deposit is 175,760 UAH.
Let us remember that in Brovary, on the night of August 17, a car of the film crew of the “Schemas” program caught fire. According to journalist Mikhail Tkach, earlier this car was followed by employees of the Department of State Security. Regarding the fact of arson, the police opened a case under article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Let us remember that on August 26 the police arrested journalists from the Scheme program, suspected of setting the car on fire.
In addition, the police identified the four people involved in the arson of the Scheme car.
The US Embassy in Ukraine called on journalists to quickly and transparently investigate the car fire.
