The school near Sumy got into a scandal (collage: RBC-Ukraine)
In Glukhov, a scandal broke out in the school over the Russian language and the cancellation of the festive matinee for St. Nicholas Day, about which the mother of the first-grader complained. The woman appealed to the City Department of Education about the situation, and also posted a public outrage post from “BatkiSOS.”
The mother of a student in grade 1-B from school # 3 claimed that the teacher forced her son to sing a song at an event in Russian and, after refusal, completely deprived all children of the holiday, canceling the event to “punish the boy and his mother and incite all the rest of the class.”
Such a story by Alisa Kovaleva sparked a storm of angry comments on the net, and many netizens attacked the teacher with criticism and organized a “lynching” for the teacher.
Shortly after the incident, the school administration issued an official response posted on its Facebook page. However, the post was later removed, but local post Glukhiv.Info saved the post screen.
From the reaction of the administration of the educational institution, it follows that on the stage of the school holiday event there were no songs in Russian at all: all the children sang and recited poetry in Ukrainian, but the party actually took place.
The school also noted that Alice herself was not at the event and that her son participated in the matinee along with everyone.
In confirmation of the words, the management is willing to provide a video of the vacation made by the parents and the teacher.
Likewise, the management of the educational institution addressed the woman with a proposal to resolve controversial situations through interaction: “Conflicts, misunderstandings, Mrs. Alice, there are, but they must be resolved not accusing, but interacting!”
