Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kiev region exposed the activities of a public organization financed by people’s deputies to participate in seizures of robbers, demonstrations and protest actions. The SBU press center reported this on October 23.
The statement said that members of the organization under the guise of a sports association were involved in seizures of assailants and protest actions by order of the current deputies. The investigation established that the “athletes” are under the control of the People’s Deputy of Ukraine and the co-chair of one of the political parties.
According to the “Ukrainian Truth”, we are talking about the head of the political council and the chairman of the strategic council of the Oposition Platform – For Life party, the godfather of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Viktor Medchedchuk.
The control of the activities and the financing of this public organization was in charge of another deputy of this party, owner of a security company in the Kiev region, added the SBU, without indicating the name of the people’s deputy.
Intelligence officers found that members of the association also controlled the sale of drugs in the region, stockpiling explosives, weapons and ammunition. As part of the criminal process initiated, the SBU officers documented the sale of two batches of amphetamines by members of the public organization. They seized a hand grenade launcher, an RGO grenade with a match, seven improvised explosive devices, a 9mm Schmeiser pistol, devices for firing rubber cartridges, 70 cartridges of various calibers, prepackaged drugs, SIM cards from various mobile operators , telephones, computer equipment. “, – says the message of the special service.

SBU officers detained two active members of the group and three more are on the wanted list. The statement said that law enforcement officials intend to inform the detainees of the suspicion, but it is not specified under which article the actions of the “athletes” were qualified.
The SBU did not reveal the name of the public organization.
