The Ukrainian security service blocked the activities of the organizers and nearly 100 members of an interregional criminal group, which included former and current law enforcement officers.
As reported on the official website of the SBU, the bandit group illegally used technical means to secretly obtain information and control the connection traffic of mobile subscribers. (to see the photo, scroll to the bottom of the page).
It also documented the fact of an attempt to involve the defendants in the preparation of provocations on the eve of local elections in the Donetsk region.
“According to preliminary data from the pre-trial investigation, the attackers acted under the guise of an alleged” detective and security company. “The group consisted of about 100 members, including former law enforcement officers and current representatives. of the criminal environment and employees of security companies, “says the report.
The defendants specialized in providing “services” for the illegal surveillance of citizens, participated in seizures of assailants, terrorized businessmen and also sold weapons, explosives and drugs. At the same time, they used special technical means to secretly obtain information from one of the law enforcement agencies.
During 45 simultaneous searches at the location of the “security and detective structure”, the addresses of the accused in the capital region, as well as in Kharkov, Zhitomir and Khmelnitsky, and the location of the operational and technical units of one of the law enforcement agencies, special means were seized for their secret reception of information, ammunition and narcotic substances. Computer equipment and information carriers were identified that confirm illegal activities, “said the SBU.
Now the question of informing four organizers and active members of the group about the suspicions under articles 359, 263 and 361 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the choice of preventive measures is being resolved. Investigative actions are being carried out to bring all members of the group to justice.
Information on the illegal transport of detected weapons from the OOS area in Donbas is being verified.
