On May 7, President Zelensky appointed Saakashvili as head of the Executive Reform Committee.
Newly-appointed President of the Executive Committee for the Micheil Reform Saakashvili said he is not speaking to the fifth president, Petro Poroshenko.
He said it in an interview with channel 24.
According to him, he once gathered Poroshenko at the jazz festival in Lviv.
“When He saw me, then he ran at such speed that it was so much fun for me to see him. I have no desire (communicate with Poroshenko – ed). I would say that I already closed this page of my life“ – said politician
Saakashvili added that Poroshenko and his entourage used the state for their own enrichment. By its According to the AP, the fifth president spent most of his time in his business.
In doing so, he added I did not mean for what any president of Ukraine, in particular Poroshenko, ended up behind bars.
“That would not give me any pleasure. Even though that him (Poroshenko – Ed) did not behave too delicately. I forgot about that. But giving money back, doing useful things is in my style ”, explained the politician.

After that, Georgia announced that it was withdrawing its ambassador to Ukraine.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said Saakashvili is a citizen of Ukraine and therefore no state in the world can indicate where or not to appoint a citizen of Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said Georgia’s reaction to Saakashvili’s appointment as head of the Executive Committee of the National Reform Council is wrong.
