Former Ukraine’s Attorney General Ruslan Ryaboshapka, in remarks under the non-factional people’s deputy Geo Leros, who was expelled from the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a liar.
On October 12, non-factional MP Geo Leros, expelled from the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, posted on Facebook an excerpt from an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and HardTalk host Stephen Sakur.
A fragment of an interview, in which it is said that during the year of the presidency Zelensky’s rating dropped to 35%, Leros signed: “Inadequate.”
The post of People’s Deputy was commented on by the former Attorney General of Ukraine Ruslan Ryaboshapka.
“Also a liar,” he wrote.
Ryaboshapka was Attorney General from August 2019 until March 5, 2020, when the Verkhovna Rada passed a no-confidence resolution by 263 votes, prompting his resignation. Zelenskiy called Ryaboshapka a “good specialist”, but noted that he did not achieve any results.
The Servant of the People faction expelled Leros from its membership. This happened later, in a meeting of the Rada on September 1, he reproached Zelensky for the fact that the new promised people did not come to power, and called the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, “an agent of the GRU of the Russian Federation “. Leros said it was Zelensky who instructed Yermak to “do all the dirty and corrupt work.”
On September 30, Leros said that he had received six hours of audio recordings from an SBU officer, in which a deputy of the Kiev City Council Denis Komarnitsky and a people’s deputy, head of the Kiev city organization Servant of the People, Nikolai Tishchenko, allegedly discussed how to attack him and another deputy.
On October 2, Leros published the first audio of these conversations. According to Leros, the recording reveals how Zelenskiy and Yermak covered up Komarnitskiy’s corrupt practices. Tishchenko, in response to Leros’ post, said that “these movies don’t even pull off fakes.”
In the second part of the audio recordings, which the popular deputy published on October 7, Tishchenko and Komarnitsky reportedly spoke about supporting the current mayor of Kiev, Vitaly Klitschko, and the attack on Leros.
