On the night of December 25-26, the Russian pipelayer Fortuna left the Nord Stream 2 completion work area in Germany’s exclusive economic zone and headed for the German port of Wismar.

Interfax notes that Fortuna has been laying the pipeline in Germany’s EEZ since December 11. The plan was to build 2.6 km of the main pipeline in water at a depth of less than 30 meters. The call for the work was valid from December 5 to 31.
It is not reported whether the stacker completed the 2.6 km of pipeline in German waters.

On December 10, Russia resumed construction of Nord Stream 2. Today, more than 2,300 km of the approximately 2,460 km of the pipeline have been laid. (about 94%).
Construction on Nord Stream 2 has been halted since December 2019 due to US sanctions.
Nord Stream 2 is a 1,234 km long gas pipeline from Russia to Germany through the Baltic Sea, bypassing Ukraine.
