Russian figure skaters took almost the entire world championship prize fund.

Russian figure skaters Anna Shcherbakova, Elizaveta Tuktamysheva and Alexandra Trusova, three of them won $ 144,000 for their prizes at the World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden, reports the press service of the International Skating Union. Translated into rubles, it is 11 million.

At the same time, the winner of the gold medal, Anna Shcherbakova, received 64 thousand dollars from the organizers of the competition. Elizaveta Tuktamysheva became rich in 47 thousand, and Alexandra Trusova, who became the third, received 33 thousand.

Note that the total prize fund in the women’s competition was $ 182,000. This is a little more than thirteen million rubles. Thus, we can conclude that the three Russians took most of the money, leaving small amounts to their rivals.

Recall that for the first time in history, the entire podium of the Women’s Singles World Championship was Russian. Our skaters left their rivals no chance. Especially striking is the progress of Trusova, who was able to catch the top three winners from twelfth place in the short program.
