A bill was submitted to the illegitimate state duma of Russia, which provides for the introduction of lifetime immunity to former leaders of the country.
It follows that the head of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, in the event of his departure from power, cannot be brought to justice or arrested. The corresponding entry appeared on the website of the Russian “Parlamentskaya Gazeta”.
“The president of Russia, who has terminated the exercise of his powers, has immunity. He cannot be brought to criminal or administrative responsibility, as well as detained, arrested, searched or interrogated,” he added. – says the message.
Likewise, the corresponding immunity extends to the residence of said politician, his vehicles, documents, luggage and correspondence.
The document states that only the Federation Council can deprive the former head of Russia of immunity. In particular, on the basis of charges against the former leader of the country of high treason or for committing another serious crime.
At the same time, said decision must be made by the Federation Council within three months after the charges were filed, otherwise the charges will be considered rejected.
