Russia sends paratroopers from Pskov to Belarus / GORDON

300 fighters of the Airborne Forces of the Pskov Guard went to the exercises in West Belarus. Earlier, Serbia refused to participate in the exercises on the territory of Belarus.

In the tactical exercises “The Slavic Brotherhood”, which will take place at the Brestsky training ground in West Belarus, Russia will be represented by units of the Airborne Forces of the Pskov Guard. This was reported on September 13 by RIA Novosti with reference to the Russian Defense Ministry.

Paratroopers from the two countries will solve the interaction problems between the units, according to the report.

In total, about 300 military personnel and about 70 units of military and special equipment from the Russian Federation will participate in the exercises.

The exercise schedule is from September 14 to 25. Upon completion, the Pskov paratroopers will return to their permanent deployment site, the agency emphasizes.

On September 9, it became known that the joint Russian-Belarusian-Serbian counter-terrorism exercises under the same name, “Slavic Brotherhood”, which were scheduled for September 10 and 15, will not take place. Serbia refused to participate in them.
