The deputy prime minister and minister for the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories, Alexei Reznikov, said that continuing the war in Donbas is economically disadvantageous for Russia. He said it in an interview with Radio Liberty.
“I have repeatedly said that for the Russian Federation the continuation of this hybrid war against Ukraine is neither profitable nor pragmatic. And this is the main ‘salt’. And I think that in order to find a pragmatic way out, they will be ready to put an end to this war hybrid “, – said Reznikov.
In his opinion, Russia needs to support about 3 to 3.5 million people in Donbass, provide them with pensions, budget payments and financially can no longer cope with the current situation.
Earlier, Oleksiy Reznikov said that the Ukrainian authorities are ready to deploy humanitarian camps on the administrative border with Crimea.
It was also reported that Reznikov explained the essence of the amnesty in the Donbass. He stated that the amnesty for participants in the Donbass armed conflict would not be universal.
