The Russian government has expanded the list of sanctions against Ukraine. As indicated in the document published on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of Russia, the expanded list includes 849 people. An updated version of the sanctions list was posted on Friday, December 11, on the Russian government’s website.

“Modify Appendix No. 1 of the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of November 1, 2018 No. 1300“ On Measures to Implement Presidential Decree No. 592 of October 22, 2018 ”, indicating it in the wording, according to the Appendix, ”the document says.

The expanded list also includes Verkhovna Rada spokesman Dmitry Razumkov, Verkhovna Rada first vice president Ruslan Stefanchuk, head of the Ukrainian PACE delegation Yelizaveta Yasko, deputies from Ukraine’s presidential faction “Servant of the People” Andriy Gerus, Olga Vasglyhansukaya Leros, Alexander Kachura.

As special economic measures applied to the persons indicated on the list, there is a freeze on non-monetary funds, non-certified securities and properties on the territory of Russia and a ban on transferring funds outside the territory of Russia.

Previously, Russia expanded the sanctions list in September this year. Then the list included 41 people. Among them are former President Petro Poroshenko, lead singer of rock group Okean Elzy and former leader of the Golos party Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, Verkhovna MP Rada Kira Rudik.

The day before, the United States imposed sanctions for human rights violations against various officials and legal entities associated with Kadyrov.

Switzerland was also reported to have introduced sanctions against those involved in the construction of the Kerch Bridge.

We will recall, in September, that the EU extended personal sanctions against Russia for six months for the annexation of Ukrainian Crimea.
