On Thursday, December 17, the International Football Organization (FIFA) hosted the award ceremony for the best footballers of last year, during which the winner was named Best Soccer Player of the Last Year according to experts.
It was the Polish striker for Bayern Munich, Robert Lewandowski.
A little later, FIFA published official data on the election of each of the respondents, making it known to the public how the finalists of the fight for the honorary title directly voted.
Turin Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo, as representative of his country’s players, was impressed last year by the performance of the winner, Robert Lewandowski, and in second place he put the eternal antagonist in the person of Lionel Messi. Ronaldo’s third was PSG striker Kilian Mbappé.
At the same time, Lionel Messi himself did not include the captain of the Portuguese team in the top three, opting for a good friend in the person of PSG striker Neymar. Leo sent his Brazilian teammate Mbappé to second place and Robert Lewandowski became third in his ranking.
The Polish striker dispensed with the Argentine and Portuguese stars when compiling his own rating. The first for Lewandowski was former Bayern teammate – Thiago Alcantara, the second – Neymar, and the third was Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne.
Let us remind you that all the players, for whom the top three contenders for the FIFA Player of the Year title voted, were inducted into the final International Soccer Organization Team of the Year.
