As reported on the NASH Telegram channel, the right wing, led by activist Yevgeny Karasem, even blocked the channel.
Karas and his men are alleged to have threatened the canal’s employees. In particular, Karas threatened the executive producer of the television channel, who addressed the protesters.
“And, are you the executive producer of the NASH television channel? Did you come out of the closet? Did you decide to make us troll? Are you an immortal idiot? Aren’t you ashamed? There is a war!”
As can be seen from the broadcast, the communication between Karas and the TV channel’s hosts was not constructive.
In particular, Karas accused the presenters of “sitting in the rear and getting fat, showing lies” in the air, who are watched by Russian militants in Donbas, and then, as a result, kill Ukrainian citizens. Karas claims that he knows the invaders are watching the Nash Canal, because he found out while visiting the front-line Avdeevka.
In addition, Karas, while communicating with the television channel’s staff, used profanity and urged them to leave the channel and “not work for Russia.” He tried to find out from the presenters how much Russia pays them for “spreading lies on the air.” At this point, other activists urged the presenters to “name the price.”
The protesters tried to break into the construction of the canal, but the police stopped them, a crush started.
At 2:20 p.m. the television channel’s campaign ended. During the clashes, the police detained several people, law enforcement officers and some right-wing activists remain under the canal building.
