Ukraine has not heard of Russian vaccine production.

The RDIF said that they discussed cooperation with the Ukrainian side in the supply and production of the Sputnik V vaccine.

Russia’s Direct Investment Fund and the Gamaleya Center have announced their readiness to begin production of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine in Ukraine, the RDIF press service reported on Tuesday, December 8.

“RDIF and NF Gamaleya NITsEM are ready to produce the vaccine in Ukraine and submit documents for registration by state regulatory authorities,” the message reads.

“The release of the finished form of the vaccine on the territory of Ukraine has already been established by one of the leading pharmaceutical companies, JSC Biolek. Biolek’s production facilities, which will produce the vaccine, meet all current requirements of the standard. GMP, “said the RDIF.

Earlier, the National Academy of Sciences scholar Serhiy Komissarenko said that Ukraine does not have the technical capacity to produce coronavirus vaccines, but scientists can develop the vaccine themselves.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health claims that Ukraine has manufacturers capable of starting vaccine production.
