EECPs will be opened according to the Paris Summit

The minister said that he personally supervises the progress of the works in the new steps of the demarcation lines.

The opening of two new checkpoints at the same time, in Zolote and Shchastya, is scheduled for November 10 this year. This was announced on Friday, October 23, by the Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, Oleksiy Reznikov, on the air of the Ukraine television channel.

“We have an agreement on November 10 to try to simultaneously open two checkpoints in those places (in Zolote and Shchastye – ed.), Because it was planned that way in Paris at the summit,” the official stressed.

According to him, he monitors the construction progress through cameras.

“We have installed webcams and I have the opportunity to see the construction work every day, as the sites are being paved and a modern center is being created, which will provide a service area.

At the same time, the quarantine at the Donbas checkpoint was extended until the end of 2020. The Marinka and Novotroitskoye checkpoints continue to operate according to the autumn schedule, but the separatists block movement along them.

As reported, Reznikov allowed local elections to be held in the temporarily uncontrolled territories of the Donbass, only after ensuring security conditions.
