The big boxing show took place the night of November 29 at the Staples Center in The Angels.
Two professional boxing legends held an exhibition match in the main event – 54 years Mike tyson (50-6, 44 KO) and 51 years Roy Jones (66-9, 47 KO).
The last time Tyson entered the ring 15 years ago, when in 2005 he lost by TKO to Kevin McBride. But Jones’ last professional fight is dated 2018.
The battle regulations provided for 8 rounds of two minutes. The boxers wore thickened 12 oz gloves. A special WBC Frontline battle belt was prepared for the winner. At the weigh-in, the legends showed the following weight: Mike Tyson – 99.8 kg, Roy Jones – 95.2 kg.
From the first round, Tyson began to actively attack and Jones tried to respond to each opponent’s blow. The speeds were very decent. The fight was intense, with many attacks. Despite their age, both boxers acted technically and aggressively. Tyson and Jones walked the entire 8-round distance and hugged after the fight.
Officially, the judges’ marks were not counted. A tie was unofficially fixed.
Tyson’s fee for the fight was $ 10 million, his opponent will receive $ 3 million. Part of the proceeds will go to charity.
In a great battle, the former world champion Badu jack (23-3, 13 KO) of Sweden by unanimous decision (80-72, 80-72, 80-72) defeated undefeated American Blake mckernan (13-1, 6 KO).
A well-known video blogger also spoke as part of the show. Jake paul (2-0, 2 KO) and knocked out the former NBA player, debuted in boxing in the 2nd round Nate robinson (0-1).
