Rada approved the ban on social networks in the Russian Federation

The Verkhovna Rada voted to extend the sanctions against Russian social networks. 248 deputies voted “in favor” with the minimum required 226 votes. Through this decision, in particular, Internet providers were prohibited from providing access services to Internet users in Ukraine by the resources of the Mail.ru services and the VKontakte and Odnoklassniki social networks.

Ministry of Economy predicted the grain harvest

This year, a harvest of 65-68 million tons of grain is expected. According to officials, this is less than last year, but even such volumes will guarantee food security in Ukraine, as well as maintain the status of a large exporting country.

The Cabinet of Ministers predicted an increase in unemployment.

Since the beginning of the quarantine, the number of unemployed in Ukraine has grown by 197 thousand people, to almost half a million people. According to government forecasts, this year a sharp increase in the unemployed is expected to reach 9.4%. In 2019, this figure was 8.2%.

The number of recovered has increased

In Ukraine, during the last day, a record number of patients with coronavirus was recovered, 343, although on the eve this number was 85 patients. In addition, a total of 3,716 people were discharged, 439 fatal cases were registered.

Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on banks

The law finally prohibits the return of nationalized banks to their former owners, prohibits the return of bankrupt banks to the market, whose owners through the courts have canceled the decision of the National Bank on its insolvency.

Ukraine partially canceled visa-free travel

As of September 1, Ukrainians will not be able to cross the border with Belarus with an internal passport. At the same time, it will be possible to enter Ukraine from Belarus according to a Ukrainian passport. The government believes that such a decision “should speed up the passage of border crossings and reduce the number of cases of falsification of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine.”
