New anti-record set for COVID-19 growth in Ukraine

On the morning of September 11, 148,756 cases of coronavirus were laboratory confirmed in Ukraine, of which 67,005 ended in recovery and 3,076 ended in death. During the day, 3144 infected were registered, which is an absolute anti-record since the beginning of the epidemic.

In addition, the largest increase in COVID-19 was registered on a global scale: more than 300 thousand cases. India, Brazil and the United States have become leaders in daily incidence rate.

A meeting of the four Normandy advisers was held in Berlin.

The seven-hour talks between the political advisers of the leaders of the member countries of the Normandy format (Ukraine, Russia, Germany and France) ended in the capital of Germany.

As a result of the meeting, the representative of Russia, the deputy head of the presidential administration of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Kozak, announced that an exchange of views was held on all issues of resolution of the conflict in the Donbass, but “no progress”.

At the same time, the Office of the President noted that all participants in the talks supported Ukraine’s call to take comprehensive measures to extend a stable and comprehensive ceasefire in eastern Ukraine.

The International Monetary Fund said that a prerequisite for its current financial support program for Ukraine is the independence and integrity of its anti-corruption bodies: NABU, SAP and VAKS.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine sent a protest note to Belarus

The Kiev official sent a protest note to Minsk in connection with the incident with the Ukrainian ambassador Igor Kizima in Belarus at the border, the video of which was published by the media. Therefore, the Ukrainian diplomats demanded to give explanations and qualify the actions of the Belarusian border guards.

Six people died in traffic accident near Kiev

In the Boryspil district of the Kiev region, four vehicles collided: two trucks, a minibus and a passenger car. The accident killed six people, another 12 were hospitalized.

Later, the National Police said they had detained a truck driver suspected of having committed a fatal accident.
