The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has introduced a new type of military service: military service for the recruitment of people from among the reservists in a special period without announcing the mobilization.

- recognized as unfit for military service for health reasons;

According to the amendments made to the Penal Code, the evasion of compulsory military service by recruiting people from among the reservists in a special period. It is punishable by imprisonment from three to five years.
The law also provides for the creation of territorial recruitment and social support centers on the basis of military police stations, streamlining matters of military registration of recruits, recruits and reservists, ensuring the proper functioning of the Unified State Registry of recruits, recruits and reservists.
