Storm Warning Announced in Ukraine

Fog is expected over almost the entire territory of Ukraine and ice phenomena will intensify in the Dnieper reservoirs.

In Ukraine, a storm warning was announced due to fog. This was reported by the Ukrhydrometeorological Center on Sunday, December 20.

Forecasters predict fog is expected on the right bank, in the Chernigov and Sumy regions at night and on Sunday morning. Visibility will be 200 to 500 meters. Therefore, the first danger level, yellow, is declared.

In addition, the State Emergency Service reports that due to a decrease in air temperature from December 20 to 23, an increase in ice phenomena is expected in the Dnieper reservoirs (except for the Kakhovka reservoir).

We will remember that earlier in the Chernihiv region bad weather felled 200 trees on the roads. Authorities called the situation difficult and said they had done everything possible to prevent accidents in the region.

Due to bad weather, 19 settlements in the region were de-energized. Snow and gusts of wind activated the protection system of the power lines.
