Ukraine has already bought the drug Remdesivir, which is used to treat the coronavirus. Now they are transporting him to the field.

This was stated by the state’s chief medical officer, Viktor Lyashko, reports Radio Liberty.

The drug was bought by the state company “Medical Procurement of Ukraine”.

According to Lyashko, the use of Remdesivir reduces the length of hospital stay of a coronavirus patient. In addition, the number of deaths also decreases.

The day before, it was learned that the drug Remdesivir would be shipped to the region by the end of next week. The Ministry of Health will receive 18,000 doses of this drug next week.

We will recall, Chief Medical Officer Viktor Lyashko urged Ukrainians to get mass vaccinated against influenza to avoid combining the disease with COVID-19.

Earlier, Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said that in Ukraine, 75.7% of all coronavirus deaths are people over 60 years of age. It is important that they adhere to quarantine regulations during an unsafe epidemiological period.
