Until the end of next week, the region will ship the drug Remdesivir, which is used in the treatment of coronavirus. The Ministry of Health will receive 18,000 doses of this drug next week.
This was announced on the air of the talk show “Right to Power” by Health Minister Maxim Stepanov.
As specified by the minister, the state is buying Remdesivir for 28,000 patients.
In addition, according to Stepanov, the government has allocated additional funds for the purchase of vaccines against influenza and pneumococcal infections for doctors, educators, police, National Guard military and border guards.
“The total dose we buy is 1 million 410 thousand. Now the purchase goes through an international organization that enters the market. We already have confirmation of about 100,000 doses, we are still waiting for 160,000 doses. This is for budgetary funds so that we can vaccinate risk groups “, – said the head of the Ministry of Health.
We will remember, the chief sanitary doctor, Viktor Lyashko, urged Ukrainians to get mass vaccinated against influenza to avoid a combination of the disease with COVID-19.
As RBC-Ukraine wrote, influenza vaccines have already appeared in pharmacies. Now Ukrainians have the opportunity to buy a South Korean vaccine.
