The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Ukraine has exceeded 130 thousand, almost half of the patients, 60 613, have already recovered, said the National Security and Defense Council.
During the last 24 hours, a record number of new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Ukraine: 2,723, the National Defense and Security Council reported on the morning of September 3.
The previous record was set earlier this week: 2,495 cases of infection were confirmed in Ukraine on September 1.
The total number of registered cases of coronavirus infection in the country increased to 130,951.
2,761 people died from the coronavirus infection, including 51 in the last day, 60,613 recovered (+937 per day), 67,577 continue to get sick.
Most new cases per day were detected in Kiev (319) and the Kharkiv region (371), and less in Kirovograd (eight).

According to the US Johns Hopkins University, the total number of infected people in the world exceeded 26.3 million, of which more than 17.5 million were cured and 868.7 thousand died. Ukraine is ranked 25th in the world in terms of the number of infected.
