The official UEFA website has published a summary rating of the performances of the 500 most successful clubs in UEFA Champions League and European Cup matches.

The absolute leader in terms of successes turned out to be Real Madrid (445 games, 607 points), which not only managed to play almost 100 more games than the closest competitor in the person of Bayern Munich (358 games, 495 points), but also he also beat the reigning German champion by 112. symbolic points.

According to the scoring method proposed by UEFA, the team was awarded 2 points for each victory in the Champions League and European Cup matches, and one point was awarded for a draw and matches with extra time or penalty shoot-out.

Of the Ukrainian teams, the Dynamo Kiev achieved the greatest success in this ranking (242 games, 255 points), ranking 11. At the same time, the “white-blue” belongs to a rather significant achievement: the Dynamo occupies the Highest position among the teams that have never entered the final duel of these tournaments and as a result did not win in their drawing. “Stolichnye” stopped in the semifinals in the seasons 1976/77, 1986/87, 1998/99.

The closest representative of our country, Donetsk Shakhtar (31st), with 136 games and 138 points, is still very far from the eternal rival. The late Dnipro Dnipro (14 matches, 14 points), ranked 176, Kharkiv Metalist (2 matches, 3 points, 336th) and Simferopol Tavria (4 matches, 3 points, 346th) lag far behind.
