Russia’s chief did not congratulate Biden on his victory after the announcement of the preliminary voting results. At the same time, its main electoral competitor, the current president of the United States, Donald Trump, Putin immediately congratulated.

The winner of the election will be officially announced in a joint session of Congress on January 6. The inauguration of the new president of the United States is scheduled for January 20.

Trump is refusing to admit defeat in the election and is trying to challenge the vote in the courts of several states. His personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, promised that the White House chief’s legal team would continue to file lawsuits.
