Parliamentarians have yet to introduce NABU bills
Parliament will approve legislative changes to resolve the conflict with the appointment of the head of the Bureau.
To resolve the issue of the appointment of the head of the NABU, it is necessary to change the Constitution or legislation. This was stated by the president of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmitry Razumkov, in an interview with Ukrainian News.
“I think changes will be required in the Constitution or in the legislation. Either it will be necessary to expand the powers of the president, or determine in law who will appoint the director of the NABU. To date, there have been no proposals from the deputies in this regard. Maybe they will be in the near future. time, since it’s only been a week. In any case, the changes will have to be adopted ”, said the speaker of parliament.
At the same time, Razumkov noted that “it is not entirely correct” for him to comment on the position of the Constitutional Court, because any statement by the president of the Rada may be perceived by the court as pressure.
At the same time, he recalled that when the head of the NABU was appointed, the community of experts said that the president has an exclusive list of powers under the Constitution.
“This decision triggered a great warning, and this is in line with the Constitution, because the president did not have such powers under the Constitution. There were no additional amendments to the Constitution according to procedure, and the law will always be inferior to the Constitution. state. Therefore, even then there were many questions “, – said Razumkov.
