Razumkov is still focused on his duties as head of parliament.

Razumkov’s post in German is called President of Parliament, for now his duties are sufficient for him.

The Speaker of Parliament, Dmitry Razumkov, in an interview with the German newspaper Die Welt, responded to a question about presidential ambitions.

“My job is not to dream, but to fulfill urgent tasks. There is still a long way to go until the next elections. Ukraine has great challenges. Now we have to focus on solving these problems, and not on political ambitions. In Ukrainian, my position is that of head of parliament, in German – Speaker of parliament. Consequently, to some extent at least, I am already president, “said Razumkov.

He also spoke about Ukraine’s position regarding the construction of Nord Stream 2, cooperation with Germany and the United States.

Therefore, Razumkov noted that Parallel Stream-2 is an exclusively inexpensive project. According to him, it will have internal and external consequences for Europe in the future.

“We are a reliable transit country for gas. But we have already felt what it is like when Russia stops gas supply and uses it as a means of political pressure,” Razumkov said.

He expressed the hope that Germany will continue to support Ukraine after Angela Merkel steps down as German chancellor.

Razumkov also believes that Ukraine’s support for the United States will remain unchanged regardless of the outcome of the presidential elections.

Recall that on November 11 it was learned that Razumkov was diagnosed with a coronavirus. He is in isolation at home.

After COVID-19 was discovered the next day in the hands of Vice President Ruslan Stefanchuk, the Verkhovna Rada meeting was chaired today by Elena Kondratyuk.
