The president of the Verkhovna Rada himself, according to him, also did not vote for Vitrenko’s appointment on December 17.

The president of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmitry Razumkov, said what could have prevented the appointment of Yuriy Vitrenko as first deputy prime minister and minister of energy.
As a UNIAN correspondent reports, he said so in an interview with the Pryamoy television channel.
Responding to the question that there were no votes in parliament for Vitrenko’s appointment, the speaker noted: “There was a lot of information about him. And I think this is what influenced the results of the vote. Him with information that, I’m sure, it influenced the results of the vote. “

According to him, there was a “lively discussion” about Vitrenko at the meeting of the Servants of the People faction.
“Someone supported Yuri Yuryevich, who opposed. In particular, questions were raised, first with 94 million, then – with 170 million payments as bonuses that were for his past activities, organized by him in Naftogaz. And even then part of the faction expressed a different position, they did not support this candidacy, “Razumkov said.
At the same time, the president of Verkhovna Rada pointed out that in order to send a candidate to vote in the Verkhovna Rada session hall, there must be a decision of the faction.
“The decision of the faction is 50%. 50% was fair, even more, to make a presentation for the Prime Minister. And after that, the Prime Minister presented the aforementioned candidates, all the candidates, to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, “said the speaker. …
To clarify what the main counter-argument against Vitrenko was, he replied: “I think it was the bonus money received from Naftogaz. I think that’s what divided the audience.” Razumkov added that he personally did not vote for Vitrenko.
Parliamentary vote for Vitrenko: what is known
On December 17, the Verkhovna Rada did not support the appointment of the former top manager of Naftogaz of Ukraine, Yuriy Vitrenko, as first deputy prime minister – energy minister. 186 People’s Deputies voted for the corresponding decision with the required minimum of 226 votes.
On the same day, the Chairman of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, expressed the opinion that Verkhovna Rada did not support Vitrenko’s appointment due to insufficient communication with the deputies.
“I think he made a mistake. Usually, when a minister, especially a deputy prime minister, is appointed such an important minister, he must meet with all the factions … To tell his course, what he will do, first turn on, and so on on, “said Arahamia.
At the same time, he noted, this did not happen. Arakhamia explains this by the lack of time before the completion of the plenary work of the Verkhovna Rada this year. “Considering this, this did not happen. And many deputies in general feel a little offended by not having a normal opportunity and “access to the body”, as they say, to communicate, and so on. I think 20-30% of the vote was needed, “said Arahamia.
In his opinion, an attempt to appoint Vitrenko could take place again in January. “During this period they can meet, communicate. And I think they can bear it again,” he summarized.
At the same time, to clarify whether there are alternative candidates for a post in the Energy Ministry, Arahamia said: “Not yet. As far as I know, we will try to mobilize votes for Vitrenko.
