Parliament Speaker Dmitry Razumkov abstained from voting in favor of the sanctions

The Verkhovna Rada spokesperson is the only member of the National Defense and Security Council present at the meeting who did not vote in favor of the introduction of restrictive measures.

Two of the 19 members of the Security and National Defense Council did not support the decision to impose sanctions on the 112 Ukraine television channels, NewsOne, ZIK and MP Taras Kozak. This was announced on Tuesday February 2 by the edition of Ukrainskaya Pravda, citing members of the department.

It should be noted that Verkhovna Rada spokesman Dmitry Razumkov abstained from voting at the NSDC meeting. At the same time, another member of the Council is away on business.

As members of the National Defense and Security Council said in the publication, the law allows the imposition of sanctions against the citizens of Ukraine. The measures introduced can be appealed, but according to them, it will be a rather troublesome procedure.

We will recall, on the eve of the afternoon, that Zelensky enforced the NSDC’s decision on the application of sanctions against Kozak and against various television channels for a period of five years.

The sanctioned television channels consider the decision of the head of state as “political punishment.”
