MPs are supposed to work for two weeks in a row in the regions, in connection with local elections.

The working hours of the Verkhovna Rada will be changed in connection with the upcoming local elections. This was announced on Monday, August 31, by President Dmitry Razumkov at a meeting of the conciliatory council of the leaders of the factions and parliamentary groups.

“This week the resolution will be considered, it has already been registered, the committee will consider it on Wednesday, and the Verkhovna Rada plans to consider it on Thursday, a change in the work schedule of the Verkhovna Rada. We, approving it in the last session, agreed that there will be two consecutive weeks of work in regions associated with the holding of local elections, “Razumkov said.

He also announced the parliamentary work schedule for this week.

“There is a question related to this week, this is the schedule of our work. Representatives of different factions and groups have contacted me so that this week we can continue our work in the regime that was before. In addition, we changed the schedule of our work on September 1. for the fact that the children go to school, to kindergartens … There was a request to postpone the start of our meeting tomorrow at 12:00, and we work until 15:00 On Thursday we started at 10:00 , we work until 15:00 with a break from 12:00 to 12:30, on Wednesday we work as usual (until 14:00), on Friday we work from 10:00 to 13:00, after an hour we have 30 minutes for consultations, 30 minutes for “Various”, – said Razumkov.

As you know, on October 25 the next elections of deputies of municipalities and heads of rural towns, settlements, with the exception of the annexed Crimea and the occupied territories of Donbass, will take place. The corresponding decision was made by the Verkhovna Rada on July 15.

Later, the CEC named the details of future local elections. They will be carried out under the new electoral code, which has several characteristics.
