The EU will grant Ukraine a new loan of 1.2 billion euros
For the repeal of the approval of the law to ratify the memorandum with the European Union, only 48 deputies voted with the 226 votes required.
The Verkhovna Rada was unable to reverse its decision, which ratified a loan agreement with the European Union on the provision of a € 1.2 billion macro-financing loan. This was reported by ZN.ua on Thursday, September 3.
It is indicated that only 48 popular deputies voted for the corresponding draft resolution, while 226 were necessary.
“When the parliament approved this decision, violations of a number of requirements of the Constitution of Ukraine and the regulations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine regarding the procedure for the adoption of laws by the parliament were committed,” the explanatory note reads. of the draft resolution on the cancellation of the decision.
The authors of the resolution argued that during the August 25 meeting, the people’s deputies made a series of comments on the content of the bill to ratify the agreement. However, in violation of the rules of the law, these comments were ignored.
We will recall, on August 25, that the Verkhovna Rada approved a memorandum on an EU loan worth up to 1.2 billion euros. Then Law No. 0063 had the support of 248 deputies and it was assumed that the first tranche of 600 million euros would be received in the near future.
