In two days, 10 people fell ill, both among the people’s deputies and in the parliament apparatus, Dmitry Razumkov noted.
The Verkhovna Rada may go into quarantine due to the increase in the number of MPs infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus. Parliament Speaker Dmitry Razumkov said this during a plenary session, RBC-Ukraine reports on Wednesday, September 30.
“A meeting has been held with representatives of all factions and parliamentary groups. Yesterday or the day before yesterday, a large number of people fell ill both in the session hall and in the apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada. In recent days, up to 10 people fell ill “said the head of parliament.
Razumkov emphasized that BP can continue to work in committees, and their meetings will be held online.
“Parliamentary factions and groups have submitted a proposal to determine Thursday and Friday as commission days for the Verkhovna Rada to continue its work … I hope that today we can consider such a resolution in this plenary session,” he said the president of the Verkhovna Rada.
In turn, the first deputy head of the financial committee, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, said that eight MPs from the Rada fell ill with coronavirus in one day.
“Today, in a meeting of the heads of factions, it was decided to cancel the plenary sessions from Thursday to Friday and the whole next plenary week. October 20, the meeting on the budget,” said the deputy.
We will remember, yesterday it became known that the fifth president of Ukraine and people’s deputy, Petro Poroshenko, fell ill with coronavirus. Furthermore, the coronavirus infection was confirmed by People’s Deputy Zhan Beleniuk.
