Ukraine wants to fine business owners for lack of customer masks

The deputies approved in first reading a bill that provides fines for businessmen for lack of masks on clients.

The Verkhovna Rada supported as a basis the corresponding bill №3890, which establishes fines for business owners for the lack of masks for visitors. 251 People’s Deputies voted in favor of the document. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine.

The document states that for legal persons the fines will be 200 to 300 minimum non-taxable income of citizens (UAH 3400 – UAH 5100).

They will be fined: for a pass, admission of a person to public buildings, structures, public transport during quarantine without wearing personal protective equipment, including respirators or protective masks that cover the nose and mouth, including those made on their own, no take measures for the stay of a person in public buildings, structures, public transport without such personal protective equipment.

“A company, an institution, an organization, a citizen – a subject of economic activity, pays a fine in the amount of two to three hundred minimum non-taxable income of citizens”, says the text of the law.

Recall that since the beginning of the epidemic, there have already been 411,093 confirmed cases in Ukraine, of which 8,899 were in the last day.

The Health Ministry said today that COVID-19 is spreading “in the form of a hurricane.”
