Rada recommends accelerating access to the COVID-19 vaccine
Vaccinating large numbers of patients will reduce the burden on the healthcare system, according to the BP profile committee.
The profiling committee recommended the Verkhovna Rada to endorse the bill, which will shorten the time for approval of clinical trials and registration of vaccines and drugs against COVID-19. This was reported by the Servant of the People party on Facebook.
“The profiling committee recommended to the Verkhovna Rada to support bill No. 4314. It allows shortening the period of approval of clinical trials and registration of vaccines and drugs against COVID-19,” the statement said.
According to the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee for National Health, Medical Assistance and Health Insurance, Mikhail Radutsky, the passage of the bill will reduce the burden on the health system.
“Vaccinating a large number of patients will reduce the burden on the Ukrainian health system,” Radutsky said.
“And thanks to the bill, this will be possible. After all, Ukraine’s participation in clinical trials of vaccines would already now allow part of the population to be vaccinated. Also, reducing the time for state registration of vaccines will accelerate their large-scale use, “said the People’s Servant.
Let us remember that Ukraine is studying the possibility of purchasing vaccines and tests in Great Britain. Within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation between UK Export Finance and the government of Ukraine, five priority areas have been identified, including healthcare.
