Ukraine’s Health Minister Maxim Stepanov claims that there will be no new total quarantine in the country due to the spread of the coronavirus.
He said this on the air of Ukraine 24 channel, commenting on the return of some countries to severe restrictions.

According to the head of the Ministry of Health, there are now five times more patients with coronavirus in the country or with suspicion than there were in July.

Stepanov called the main problems of the pandemic in Ukraine a possible shortage of doctors and hospital beds.
“If we talk about beds, today we have 36 thousand beds for COVID-19 patients. (If there are more patients – ed.) There will simply be nowhere to accept them. We cannot, relatively speaking, not accept patients.” not providing care for strokes, etc. And, of course, this is the main concern we have. In other words, we re-equipped the system, we added beds, we added oxygen, but, sorry, we may not have enough doctors who can provide this medical assistance, ”said the minister.
