Prime Minister Denis Schmigal presented a preliminary version of how Ukraine is expected to withdraw from quarantine.

According to the Prime Minister on his Telegram channel, the complete strategy will be presented next week and its main stages are described today.

So, according to Shmigal, in early May Ukraine will live in “emergency mode”. During this period, support is provided to socially vulnerable groups, assistance to the unemployed and those in forced absence, mobilization of medical resources, support to medical personnel and other specialists involved in the fight against COVID-19.

From the beginning of May it is planned to change the regime to “Ukraine is going to work”. In early June, the government plans to create 500,000 new jobs and provide credit support to small and medium-sized businesses. In addition, at this time it is planned to partially lift public transport restrictions and introduce a modified workday schedule.

It is planned to introduce “new social standards of living” from the beginning of June to the beginning of July. According to the information published by the Prime Minister, during this time the academic year 2019-2020 will be completed, public transport will be restored in accordance with the new rules and the conditions of self-isolation for the elderly will be reduced. In addition, you will be allowed to visit recreational areas “subject to security”.

According to UNIAN, the government introduced a quarantine throughout the country from March 11 and later extended it until April 24.
